A Record of Service for Our Community

Rooted in Saratoga Springs

After growing up in Naperville, Illinois, Utah captured my heart more than thirty years ago. Following a two-year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I studied at BYU–Idaho and the University of Utah before launching my career in technology.

While working at Market Star, I met my future wife, Angie—and together, in 2005, we planted permanent roots here in Saratoga Springs, where we’re now raising our four amazing daughters.

A Record of Service

Long before running for office, I gave back through:

  • CAPS volunteer (Citizens Assisting Police Services)

  • Six years on the Saratoga Springs HOA board (three as president)

  • Three years on the Planning Commission

  • Utah County and State GOP delegate roles

Elected to the City Council in 2019 and re-elected in 2023, I’ve championed:

  • Transportation victories such as the Mountain View Corridor extension, Pioneer Crossing flex lanes, and a broader $2.3 billion package of UDOT improvements that keep traffic moving.

  • Responsible finances—including two property tax cuts while fully funding police, fire, water, and recreation.

  • Thoughtful growth policies that respect property rights and preserve neighborhood character.

  • Transparent budgeting and open communication so residents always know where their tax dollars go.

Why I’m Running

Saratoga Springs is entering a pivotal decade. As mayor, I will:

  • Finish the road, water, and park projects already in motion—and secure funding for the next round.

  • Keep taxes low by driving operational efficiency and welcoming responsible commercial investment.

  • Preserve local control over zoning and land-use decisions.

  • Strengthening public safety with proactive staffing, resources and community partnerships

  • Maintain two-way communication so every resident feels heard.

Outside of Office

I enjoy supporting local schools, spending time in Utah’s mountains, and community events—and catching up with neighbors at city gatherings. Whether in a council meeting or at the grocery store, I believe leadership starts with listening—and I’m ready to listen and lead as your next mayor of Saratoga Springs.
